As the backbone of the event, our Deadly Dozen volunteers ensure the smooth running of the competition while creating an electric atmosphere for athletes and spectators. The Role of a Deadly Judge

As a Deadly Judge, you’ll be stationed in the “Labour Lanes,” ensuring competitors complete the correct reps, maintain movement standards, and stay motivated throughout the race. Judges are at the heart of the action, positioned in the center of the track, making it a fantastic social and interactive experience!

There are three types of Judges on the day:

  • Full-Day Judge – Commit to the full event day and receive the complete Judging Package (08:00-17:00).

  • Half-Day Judge - commit to half a day and get a modified package (08:00-13:00 or 12:00-17:00).

  • Flexible Judge – Compete in a race wave and support before or after, receiving a Deadly Goodie Bag.

The Flexible Judge Program

Want to race and be part of the volunteer team? Our Flexible Judge program allows registered athletes to judge a few waves before or after their race. This builds community and extends their experience at the event, offering more value for vendors, sponsors, and fellow competitors.

Volunteer Requirements & Schedule

  • Must be 16+ years old.

  • Full-Day Judges must arrive at 08:00 for briefing (1 hour before the first wave at 09:00) and finish by 17:00. Half-Day Judges must arrive at either 08:00 or 12:00 depending on whether they are on a morning or afternoon shift.

  • Breaks include a lunch break and access to drinks, snacks, and restroom facilities.

Volunteer Rewards

As a Full-Day Judge, you’ll receive:

💰 Voucher: £60 (UK or equivalent elsewhere) - HEAD JUDGES (selected by DDHQ) get a £150 Voucher (Head Judges must help to recruit at least 3x Full Judges for the day).
