Meadowbank Sports Centre Venue & Parking Information

The Venue

Parking & Registration

Carparking is available, however, limited at 98 spaces and charges are applicable. You may need to park in the surrounding areas.

Parking charges are applicable at the venue, see tariff below. However, there are fee car parks in the surrounding area.

Once parked, access is through the gate, in between the building and the football pitch.

The race registration desk will be visible once you turn left alongside the track and spectator stands. It will be located in front the entrance to the main building.

If you give your name to the staff at the registration desk, you will be provided with your timing chip. 

Your timing chip must be placed in the bucket after you cross the finish line.

There is no official bag drop—the sports centre has lockers available which are £1 operated.

The Volunteer Gazebo for registration and gathering is in the centre of the track (behind Labour 6, Goblet Squat).

Pay on exit parking fee chart listing tariffs from up to 2 hours to up to 10 hours, and over 10 hours, with rates from £10 to £65. Instructions on how to pay via app or at the exit, parking tariffs apply 24 hours, no parking on yellow lines. Warning about parking charge of £100 for non-compliance.

Facilities

In the Sports Centre, you will find:
Toilets, Showers, Changing Rooms & Lockers (£1 operated).

Cafe & Vending Machines.

Modern sports and fitness center building with a large glass entrance, greenery, and a paved walkway.

Food & Drinks

The Independent Vendor(s) will be located on the concrete area beside the curve of the track on the finish line side. The Registration desk will be located trackside, in front of the entrance to the main building (in between the stands).

The Sports Centre also has a café and vending machines.

Additional Information

The warmup area is in the section behind the start line.. Please be in that area around 5-10 minutes before your start time.

All Labour lanes are numbered and in order 1 -12. They are marked with the relevant flag and sign with the reps and distance required.

Relay teams stand back on the track and do not cross the timing mat until they have completed their run and entered the relevant labour station.
